Harold Maurice Kennedy
Harold Maurice Kennedy (born August 6, 1895, Brooklyn, NY, d. July 1, 1971, New York, NY) was a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Judge Kennedy received an A.B. from the College of the City of New York in 1917, an LL.B. from Brooklyn Law School in 1924 and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1925. He was United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York from 1939 to 1944.
He was nominated to the court by Franklin D. Roosevelt on September 1, 1944, to a seat vacated by Marcus B. Campbell, confirmed by the United States Senate on September 20, 1944, and received his commission on September 22, 1944. His service terminated on September 30, 1952, due to resignation.
